Bareli, 20 Jan (HS): Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, MP Rahul

Gandhi, is on a visit to his constituency, Rae Bareli. On Tuesday, large

banners were put up in several areas of the city, creating a buzz. These

banners and hoardings describe Rahul Gandhi and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh

Yadav as the Captains of the India Coalition. The banners state

that Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav are considered the Captains of the

India Coalition for 2027 and 2029.

The

special feature of these banners is that Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav are

presented as cricketers. With bats in hand, a playground-like background, and a

message of victory, these images portray both leaders as strong players

entering the field. The banners also describe both leaders as

protectors of the PDA (Public, Dalit, and Minority) communities.

These banners and hoardings, put up by Rahul Nirmal Bagi, state secretary of

the SP Lohia Vahini, are generating heated discussion in political circles.
