
Jalgaon, 19 Jan (HS): A stock of 30,000 litres of
fuel was seized from Kinhi-Shirpur MIDC under Bhusawal Tehsil of Jalgaon
district. The highly inflammable fuel, which smells like diesel is suspected to
be stored illegally for adulteration.
The tanker bearing number plate GJ 24, V 7655, was
stationed in godown of Namo Energy Oil Company. The company owner’s brother
Amin Iqbal Teli, a resident of Surat in Gujarat, failed to provide satisfactory
replies to police on enquiry. The tanker worth Rs 15 lakh and fuel worth Rs 21
lakh was seized by the police.
Police suspect that the adulteration of fuel racket
has connection with Gujarat. Further investigation is in progress.
