New Delhi, 18 January (H.S.): Delhi Legislative Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta on Sunday proclaimed that Ramkatha transcends mere narration of the past; it serves as a clarion call for moral guidance and global peace amid an era beset by wars, violence, and profound crises of trust.

Speaking as convener at the inauguration of a nine-day Ramkatha event, held from January 17 to 25 at Bharat Mandapam, Shri Gupta emphasized that Lord Shri Ram's life and ideals poignantly remind humanity that true leadership resides in character, compassion, restraint, and moral courage.

The daily discourses, commencing each morning at 10:00 a.m., unfold under the auspices of Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti—founded by Acharya Lokesh Muni—and the World Peace Center Mission, with internationally acclaimed Ramkatha exponent Morari Bapu delivering the recitations.

Former President Ramnath Kovind serves as patron of the organizing committee.Shri Gupta elaborated that Ramkatha has historically functioned as a potent medium for disseminating values of morality, fraternity, and humanity, forming an inseparable facet of India's cultural and spiritual ethos.

He portrayed it as a vibrant emblem of the nation's civilization, where spirituality and peace-building are inextricably intertwined rather than disparate pursuits. Lord Shri Ram's life teaches that power exists for service, sacrifice constitutes true strength, and dharma transcends rituals to embody moral courage—these principles remain profoundly relevant in contemporary public life, he asserted.

The Speaker lauded Morari Bapu for decades of propagating humanity's message through Ramkatha across India and diverse global nations, embedding it deeply within societal consciousness. In his address, the revered narrator Morari Bapu described Ramkatha as a living spiritual dialogue with humanity, uniquely poised to awaken compassion, self-reflection, and ethical responsibility.

He underscored that Lord Shri Ram's life offers eternal guidance through harmony, restraint, and empathy, rendering the integration of Ramkatha with a global peace mission both timely and imperative in an age scarred by conflict and division.

Acharya Lokesh Muni, founder of Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti and the World Peace Center, affirmed in his remarks that Sanatan Dharma denotes not a singular sect but an eternal, universal principle guiding humankind. He characterized Sanatan consciousness as a unifying civilizational force, weaving together Hindu, Jain, Sikh, Buddhist, and other faith traditions into a shared framework grounded in compassion, restraint, and ethical living.
