Baksa (Assam), 18 January (HS): One person was killed on the spot and two others were seriously injured after a speeding Swift car met with an accident in the Mushalpur area of Baksa district.

According to police, the incident occurred on Sunday when a Swift car lost control and crashed on the road in the Mushalpur area. The impact of the accident resulted in the instant death of one of the occupants, while two others sustained serious injuries.

The deceased has been identified as Sanwat Kalita. The injured persons, Jintu Sharma and Ravi Bodo, were rushed to a hospital for treatment. Jintu Sharma was later referred to Nalbari for advanced medical care.

The accident took place on the road connecting Burma to Nikashi. Police have registered an FIR in connection with the incident and have launched an investigation. The body of the deceased has been sent to the hospital for post-mortem examination.----------
