
Bhubaneswar, 14 January (H.S.): The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for cold wave conditions in several districts of Odisha over the next few days.
According to the IMD’s mid-day bulletin, cold wave conditions are likely to prevail on Wednesday in Cuttack, Khordha, Jagatsinghpur, Dhenkanal, Angul and Jharsuguda districts.
For January 16, the IMD has extended the yellow warning to Kendrapada, Keonjhar, Kandhamal, Sonepur, Sundergarh and Jharsuguda, indicating the continuation of cold wave conditions in these areas.
The IMD further stated that on January 17, cold wave conditions are likely to persist in isolated pockets across Bhadrak, Cuttack, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Khordha, Dhenkanal, Angul, Keonjhar, Kandhamal, Sonepur, Sundergarh and Jharsuguda districts. A yellow warning has been issued for all these districts.
Residents have been advised to take necessary precautions as temperatures are expected to remain low during this period.
