Mumbai, 06 Aug (HS): Maharashtra Chief Minister
Devendra Fadnavis directed the officers concerned to provide all basic
facilities in all the schools under the School Education Department.
Fadnavis addressed a meeting relating to improving the
standard of the government schools in the state. He listened to the problems
faced by the schools. Minister for School Education Dada Bhuse was present.
Fadnavis emphasised creating suitable environment for quality
education, a safe, healthy and pleasant atmosphere in schools to attract parents
and students towards the government schools. The District Planning Committee
should be involved in improving the facilities in Zilla Parishad and municipal
schools.
Compound, safe drinking water, washrooms, buildings,
repair of old buildings, healthy and safe provisions for girl students (Pink
Room), guidance for JEE and NEET, and other issues were discussed during the
meeting. The developmental works at schools should be implemented with the help
of government machinery. The funds with the District Planning Committee should
be utilised for developing educational and sports facilities.
