Bhubaneswar, 26 July (H.S.): On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan paid heartfelt tribute to the brave soldiers of the Indian Army who laid down their lives defending the nation during the 1999 Kargil War.

In a social media post, Pradhan described Kargil Vijay Diwas as a symbol of the Indian Army’s exceptional bravery, unwavering courage, and supreme dedication to the nation. He highlighted the valiant efforts of Indian soldiers who fought under extreme conditions in treacherous mountainous terrain and succeeded in safeguarding the honour of the tricolour.

Our soldiers demonstrated unmatched valour in adverse circumstances and rugged hills, defeating the enemy and preserving the pride of the national flag, he wrote.

Paying homage to the martyrs, he added, On this solemn occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, I respectfully salute those bravehearts who sacrificed their lives to protect Bharat Mata. Their sacrifice will remain immortal in the hearts of every Indian for generations to come.
