26 July (HS): In Uttar Pradesh's Bundelkhand's Banda district, a second incident
of brutality against a child has come to light within 24 hours, which has
created a sensation in the entire area. In Kalinjar police station area, a
six-year-old girl was lured by a neighbouring youth to his house and raped.
This incident happened a day after the brutality against a 7-year-old girl in
the city, which has shocked people. After the rape, the condition of the
six-year-old kid remains very critical. According to doctors, there is
excessive bleeding and many bite marks have been found on her body. As her
condition did not improve, she has been referred to Kanpur for better treatment.
Taking
immediate action late Friday night, the police arrested the accused Amit Kumar
after an encounter. According to the police, the accused has been shot in the
leg and has been admitted to the district hospital. According to the police, a
six-year-old girl was playing outside her house in a village in Kalinjar police
station area, when the neighbour Amit Kumar lured her and took her to his
house. There he raped the girl. After escaping from the clutches of the beast,
the girl reached home and narrated ordeal to family. The family immediately
took the girl to the police station and informed the police.
As
soon as the information was received, the police admitted the girl to CHC,
where after first aid she was referred to Rani Durgavati Medical College. Area
Officer Krishnakant Tripathi reached the spot and talked to the family members
and assured strict action. Police station in-charge Deependra Singh said that
the accused Amit Kumar had absconded after committing the crime, but on the
basis of the complaint of the family members, a report was registered under
relevant sections and action is being taken.
Superintendent
of Police Palash Bansal said information was received about the rape of a
6-year-old girl under the Kalinjar police station area. Taking immediate
cognizance of the information, all the officers inspected the spot. The girl
was taken to the medical college for treatment, where she is being treated by a
team of doctors in coordination with the administrative officials. He said that
the accused is a former acquaintance of the neighbour, who has been arrested in
a police encounter. The condition of the girl is currently said to be stable
and she has been referred to Kanpur for better treatment.
