Guwahati, 2 June (HS): An important meeting was held in the office located at Janata Bhawan on Monday under the chairmanship of departmental minister Bimal Bora regarding the budget implementation of 2025-26 of the Department of Industry, Commerce and Public Establishment of the Government of Assam.

In the meeting, Minister Bora took a report from the officials regarding the appropriate use of the funds allocated to the Industry Department in the budget. He said that the departmental officials will have to make a concrete plan to ensure the use of the budget amount as per the rules.

In this meeting, the progress of Mission Sadbhavana in the districts, implementation of the new industrial policy, Plastic Park Scheme under the Union Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, International Agar Trade Center, infrastructure development of many industrial clusters of the state, e-ODOP, support to MMMEs under CGTMSE, implementation of MoUs signed under Advantage Assam 2.0 and the status of Chief Minister Atmanirbhar Assam Mission were discussed in detail.

Minister Bora said that proper planning should be done so that the budget amount is spent in a planned manner. He instructed the departmental officers that the budget expenditure should be transparent and result-oriented.

In this important meeting, many senior officers of the department including Special Secretary of Industries Department Rakesh Agarwal, Commissioner Ainaam Charan Kumar Singh, Managing Director of Assam Industrial Development Corporation Manvendra Pratap Singh were present.
