- Minister Ashok Singhal distributed cheques and smartphones

Goalpara (Assam), 15 June (HS): Under the Assam Darshan scheme of the Assam government, on Sunday, senior minister of the state and minister in charge of Goalpara district Ashok Singhal announced financial assistance of three lakh rupees each to 300 places of worship in the district in the auditorium of the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council Secretariat in Dudhanai.

On this occasion, cheques of ₹1.5 lakh each were distributed to each place of worship as the first installment. The remaining amount will be given in further installments. These cheques were provided to the places of worship in Dudhanoi, East Goalpara, West Goalpara and Jaleshwar assembly constituencies.

Earlier in the same auditorium, Minister Ashok Singhal also distributed smart mobile phones to about 4,500 Anganwadi workers working under the Integrated Child Development Project of Dudhanoi, Kushdhowa, Matia, Balijana and Lakshmipur in Goalpara district.

Many dignitaries including Goalpada District Magistrate Khanindra Choudhury, BJP State Secretary Tinamani Daimary, District BJP President Dipank Kumar Nath, BJP leader Bipul Kumar Rabha were present in the cheque and mobile distribution program. -------
