Hailakandi (Assam), 15 June (HS): The voters of Assam will once again make Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma the Chief Minister in 2026. This claim has been made by the state's Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Minister Krishnendu Paul. He said that the BJP will form the government again by winning more than 100 seats in the 2026 assembly elections and Himanta Biswa Sarma will take oath as the Chief Minister for the second time.

Minister Paul, who arrived to attend the foundation stone laying program of a hostel at Ramakrishna Seva Ashram in Hailakandi on Sunday, while talking to the media said that a new era has started in Assam today. Now there is neither dharna-protest, nor violence and hatred here. Today Assam is moving ahead only on the path of development.

He claimed that the people will vote for the BJP again on the basis of this development. Also, he said that Congress will get zero seats in the upcoming BTR elections.
