New Delhi, June 13(HS): The tension in West Asia and Israel's aggression towards Iran impacted the domestic stock market, with both the Sensex and Nifty closing lower on the last trading day.The Sensex decreased by 573.38 points (0.70%) to 81,118.60, while the Nifty fell by 169.60 points (0.68%) to 24,718.60. Among the Sensex stocks, only 4 gained while 26 declined, particularly in banking, oil and gas, auto, and IT sectors. Airline stocks dropped following an Air India crash, with Indigo down 4% and SpiceJet down 1.61%. Major declines were noted in Adani Ports, ITC, IndusInd Bank, State Bank of India, and HDFC Bank. Tech Mahindra, TCS, Sun Pharma, and Maruti Suzuki gained. The India VIX rose 7.6% to 15.08 points.
