Guwahati, 1 June (HS): Guwahati's Bashistha police has arrested three theft accused. Police said on Sunday that based on the information received from the accused Rohit Das alias Anna (20) arrested recently, Bashistha police conducted a search operation. This operation was conducted in the Japorigog area (near ASEB) of Dispur police station area and Rajgarh Road of Bhangagarh police station area. During this, three wanted thieves were arrested and stolen scooters were also recovered.
The arrested thieves have been identified as Ravi Kumar Giri alias Ravi (21, ABC, Tarun Nagar, Bye Lane No. 5), Manish Chaudhary alias Laku (26, ABC, Srinagar, Bye Lane No. 4) and Arjun Singh (26, ABC, Tarun Nagar, Bye Lane No. 7).
The seized scooters include a black coloured Hero Honda Activa 3G (AS-01-BR-7900 with keys) and a black coloured Honda Aviator (AS-01-AR-1492). Both the scooters were seized from Rajgarh Road, Bhangagarh Police Station area.
Apart from these, a black coloured Honda Aviator (AS-01- AJ- 5766) was seized from Japorigog, near ASEB, Dispur Police Station area.
The police is hoping to get more theft cases revealed from them during further interrogation.
