Guwahati, 01 June (HS): Various programs were organized on Sunday under the aegis of Vishwa Samvad Kendra, Assam to commemorate Narad Jayanti. 'Devarshi Narad Jayanti Award-2025' was awarded in a program organized at the 'Sudarshanalaya' auditorium at Borbari, the metropolis. Along with this, three senior journalists were also specially honored.
A special speech session was organized in the context of Narad Jayanti, in which senior journalist and editor of SVTV Harshvardhan Tripathi was present as the keynote speaker. He highlighted in detail on modern journalism, its dignity and working style. At the same time, emphasizing the use of mother tongue and its sweetness said that talking in mother tongue is not an insult to other languages. It is good to learn or know as much language as a person can learn.
On this occasion, 'Devarshi Narad Jayanti Award-2025' was honored with senior child litterateur of Assam and Editor of 'Mauchak' magazine Shantanu Tamuli. At the same time, on the occasion of Narad Jayanti, three journalists of Assam - Himanshu Pathak, Senior Deputy Editor of 'Assamese Khabar', Digant Sahariya, Input Editor of 'Prag News' and Staff Reporter of 'Niyamiya Barta', Khanin Deka - were awarded special honors.
