Hooghly, 1 June (H.S.): A bike racer died while making reels on Sunday at Kangsaripur junction on Durgapur Expressway under Gudap police station in Hooghly district. As per information,, the young man was looking at the mobile while driving the bike. Due to a moment's negligence, a young man lost his life. He hit a dumper with his bike. According to police sources, the name of the deceased is Sheikh Mohammad Hashem (25). His house is in West Putiary area of Kolkata.

According to local sources, on Sunday, many youths were going from Kolkata to Burdwan on 41 modern bikes. The bike riders were wearing racing suits. A bike rider lost control on the Durgapur Expressway and hit the back of a dumper going to Burdwan. The youth was rescued by his companions in critical condition. With the help of the police, the bike rider was taken to Dhaniakhali State General Hospital. But the doctors on duty declared the youth dead. The police of Gudap police station collected the name and address of the deceased and informed the family members. Also, the body has been sent to Chuchura Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.

The police said that this accident happened while making a 'reel' for social media. A total of 41 youths were going from Kolkata to Burdwan on a 'joy ride' on a bike. One of the youths was making a reel on a moving bike. During this, his bike went out of control and collided with a dumper. The youth died on the spot.
