Agra,
01 June (HS): Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar said that India's brave Lokmata
Ahilyabai Holkar is an inspiration for us. She was a lover of justice.
Ahilyabai formed a women's contingent in her army to empower women. The Vice
President said that Ahilyabai worked to create and preserve our cultural
heritage. A hundred years after Aurangzeb destroyed the Kashi Vishwanath
temple, Ahilyabai Holkar re-built the temple. He was addressing a seminar
organized under the Ahilyabai Holkar Janam Trishatabdi Varsh Smriti Abhiyan at
the Government Inter College Ground, Agra on Sunday.
Jagdeep
Dhankhar said that today we should take a pledge that we will follow her
ideals. Ahilyabai Holkar had imagined a great India in those difficult times.
Religion, culture and governance flow in the same stream. She built many
temples in the country like Somnath, Kashi Vishwanath, Mahakaleshwar,
Badrinath, Kedarnath, Bhimashankar etc.
The
Vice President said that Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar was a Dhangar and we are
Dhankhars. He said that what Ahilyabai Holkar did is being done by UP Chief
Minister Yogi Adityanath today. The coming generations will remember this work
of Yogi in the same way as Lokmata Ahilyabai is being remembered today. The
work done in Ayodhya and Kashi under the leadership of Modi and Yogi was not an
easy task. Preservation of our culture is very important for us.
Jagdeep
Dhankhar said that we are Indians. Indianness is our identity. Nation is
supreme. I would like to remind you of the valor of Indian Army. I congratulate
Indian Army for the success of Sindoor. Now India has changed. It will end
terrorism. We will completely finish off anyone who tries to harm us. Today UP
means good governance. Rule of law. Development is not possible without the
rule of law. Braveheart Ahilyabai is an inspiration for us. In today's India,
women have a place in the army. Now there is reservation in Parliament and
Vidhan Sabha as well. I understand the pain of farmers. India will be
developed. Farmers are determined.
Haryana
