02 May (HS): After interacting with entrepreneurs in Naini Industrial Area,

Minister Nandi conducted a surprise inspection of Naini Industrial Area along with

entrepreneurs and officials. Minister Nandi expressed displeasure over the slow

pace of development work, damaged drains, poor drainage and sanitation system

and directed officials to immediately improve the system.

Nandi inspected the construction of the gate being built at Gate No. 1 of Naini

Industrial Area. While checking the quality of construction material, he

instructed not to be negligent in work and to complete the work on time. During

the inspection, entrepreneurs complained about the poor drainage system. Due to

which waterlogging occurs during the rainy season. When Minister Nandi

inspected the spot, drains were found blocked at many places. On which Minister

Nandi instructed to get the drainage system cleaned and repaired before the

rains. The minister ordered to demolish the unused shops lying closed for years

near Gate No. 1. He also instructed to take back the vacant land given to the

Irrigation Department. Minister Nandi also instructed to improve the

cleanliness of the parks and get the beautification work done.
