03 May (HS): Three persons, including a lady and two men, were killed and a
two-year-old boy was gravely injured after a speeding automobile crashed into
their motorcycle on the Bisalpur-Pilibhit national highway here on Saturday,
police said. According to reports, the incident occurred on Friday late night near
Machhwakheda village, which is within the jurisdiction of Barkhera police
station. The victims have been named as Vinod Kumar (26), his wife Rakhi (22)
and his brother-in-law Sunil (24). His
two-year-old son, Anmol, who suffered significant injuries, has been sent to
the district hospital for further treatment.
Barkhera
Station House Officer (SHO) Pradeep Kumar Vishnoi stated that the victims have
been submitted for post-mortem, and the automobile involved in the collision
has been confiscated. He stated that legal action will be done once a formal
complaint was received.

Vinod Kumar informed, a resident of Barramau village in Barkhera, was returning
from Diyuraniya village in the Bahedi region with his wife, their two-year-old
kid, and his brother-in-law when a car approaching from Bisalpur crashed into
their motorcycle.
Vinod
and Sunil perished on the spot. Rakhi
and Anmol were critically injured and sent to Barkhera Community Health Centre
for first assistance before being transferred to the district hospital. Rakhi
died of her injuries on Saturday while receiving care, he stated. Police
verified that both of the individuals killed were wearing helmets at the time
of the collision.
