New Delhi, May 11 (H.S.): After the announcement of a ceasefire against Pakistan, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi reviewed the security situation with army commanders stationed at the western borders. He has given the army commanders full authority to take counteraction in response to ceasefire violations and airspace intrusions. Earlier, the Air Force announced that the armed forces' 'Operation Sindoor' is still ongoing.

The ceasefire announcement regarding India-Pakistan took place on Saturday evening. Subsequently, the Ministry of Defence informed that an agreement was reached between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMO) of both countries that both sides would cease all forms of firing and military operations on land, air, and sea from 17:00 hours Indian Standard Time. Both parties have been instructed to implement this agreement. Following this, on the night of May 10-11, Army Chief General Dwivedi conducted a virtual meeting with the army commanders at the western borders to review the security situation. The Chief of Army Staff has instructed army commanders to take counteraction in response to violations of the agreement reached during the DGMO meeting on May 10.

Earlier this afternoon, the Indian Air Force, in a statement, mentioned that since Operation Sindoor is still ongoing, a detailed briefing will be provided in due time. The Air Force urged everyone to refrain from speculation and the dissemination of unverified information. The statement from the Air Force highlighted that the tasks assigned in Operation Sindoor have been successfully executed with accuracy and professionalism. The operation has been conducted in a thoughtful and prudent manner in line with national objectives.
