New Delhi, May 11 (H.S.) : Congress has once again demanded that the Prime Minister convene an all-party meeting and call a special session of Parliament regarding the issues of Pahalgam, Operation Sindoor, and the ceasefire. Congress believes that it is essential to have a comprehensive discussion on these matters.
Following the agreement reached yesterday between India and Pakistan, military operations were on both sides. Subsequently, Congress demanded an all-party meeting and a special session from the government. Congress objected to the fact that the first social media post regarding the agreement to halt military operations came from the President of the United States.
Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh stated that the mention of a neutral platform by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio raises several questions. Is the Shimla Agreement being overlooked?
On the other hand, Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal also stated that there is a need for a special session. In light of recent developments, the government should call a special session as soon as possible.
