Delhi, 6 April (H.S.): Nearly three months after the Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test in Sydney, India's Jasprit Bumrah is fit to return for the IPL 2025 season with the Mumbai Indians (MI). MI announced his return through a social media video titled ‘Ready to Roar’.

Although Bumrah has been cleared by the BCCI’s medical team, he is unlikely to play in MI's upcoming match against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Wankhede Stadium. His absence followed a back injury sustained in Australia, which also sidelined him from India's limited-overs home series against England and the Champions Trophy in Dubai.

Previously, Bumrah missed almost 11 months due to surgery. During the BGT series, he took 32 wickets across five Tests but missed the finale due to injury, resulting in Australia's victory and retention of the trophy.
