Guwahati, 29 April (HS): Three armed cadres of the 'National Socialist Council of Nagaland' (NSCN) rebel group were killed in an encounter in remote villages N Kubin and Herakilo adjacent to Haflong, Dima Hasao district headquarters of Assam, in a joint operation of Assam Police and central forces on Tuesday.

The encounter started on Tuesday afternoon and intermittent firing was going on till the time of filing this report. According to police sources, two AK-47 series rifles have been seized from the spot.--------
