Guwahati, 29 April (HS): State BJP President Dilip Saikia has said that people will stand in support of Vikas Yatra in the upcoming Panchayat elections. Amidst the heat of Panchayat elections in the state, BJP issued a statement saying that the people of Assam are partners in the continuous development journey of BJP-led governments in the country and the state.
In an election meeting, State President Saikia alleged that the Congress, which was in power for a long time after independence, adopted the policy of appeasement and division among tribal communities for vote bank politics, to which the people of the country and Assam have already given a reply and will also give it in the Panchayat elections.
State BJP Chief Spokesperson Manoj Barua said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Bishwa Sarma, the BJP-led coalition government is working dedicatedly for development in every sector of the state with the resolve to develop India and transform Assam into one of the leading states of the country. Targeting the Congress leaders, he said that the Congress, surrounded by allegations of taking money in exchange for tickets, is now facing the wrath of its own workers, which is shameful.
He said that during the 15 years of Congress rule, development was limited only to lungi, blanket and cotton. But today under the BJP rule, an attempt has been made to economically empower the people of Assam through schemes like 'Arunodaya', 'Nijut Maina', 'Udyamita' etc.. The present government is constantly striving to protect and promote the rights of the tea tribe, tribal community and other indigenous castes of the state.
Therefore, an appeal has been made to become a partner in the creation of a prosperous Panchayat by voting in support of the BJP and NDA for development, progress and security. Across the country, especially in rural areas, under the BJP and NDA rule, the public has experienced transparency and corruption-free systems in government services and that is why BJP and alliance candidates have won with record votes in every election.
Keeping the mantra of service is organization in front, BJP workers are reaching out to the people with a spirit of service even in the Panchayat elections and are receiving the blessings and support of the people. BJP spokesperson Barua expressed confidence that BJP and NDA will be successful in continuing their victory in the upcoming Panchayat elections.------------
