CM Stalin Inaugurates South India's Largest AI-Ready Data Centre Campus in Tamil Nadu


Chennai, 17 April (H.S.): Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin has inaugurated South India's largest AI-ready data centre campus, set up by Sify Technologies, in Siruseri, Chennai. This state-of-the-art facility is designed to support the growing demand for artificial intelligence and high-performance computing in various industries.

The campus boasts an impressive 130+ MW IT capacity, with dense fiber deployment from multiple providers, ensuring high-capacity, low-latency, and resilient network access. Moreover, the facility features 10 levels of access control, from entry to cage, providing multiple layers of security for data protection.

Sify's data centers are designed to be environmentally friendly, with over 200 MW of green power currently contracted. The company plans to expand its data center capacity to 407+ MW by 2025, with potential scalability up to 970+ MW. This expansion will further solidify Tamil Nadu's position as a hub for technology and innovation.

The inauguration of Sify's AI-ready data centre campus is expected to attract investments and create new opportunities for businesses in the state, particularly in the fields of AI, fintech, insurance, trading, banking, and payments. With certifications like NVIDIA Certified DGX-Ready Data Center Service Provider, ISO 27001, and ISO 20000-1, Sify Technologies has demonstrated its commitment to quality and security.
