Bhadohi,
18 April (HS): The district administration has formed a committee to
investigate the misdeeds of alleged land mafia Kamla Shankar Mishra and his
gang members Lekhpal and Kanungo active in Gyanpur tehsil of Bhadohi district.
Now it remains to be seen what action the committee will take in this matter.
Regarding the formation of the committee by the district administration, the
aggrieved parties have said that if action is taken in an impartial manner,
strict action will soon be taken against the land mafia and its henchmen.
The
investigation has begun at the government level against the misdeeds of the
retired land mafia lekhpal posted in Gyanpur tehsil who prepared forged
documents and manipulated the land of farmers. But the land mafia and its
associates and patrons are trying to suppress this investigation. How did the
owner of ten biswa land come to possess twenty bighas of land without
registration or sale deed? If this investigation is done thoroughly, all the
secrets will be revealed to everyone.
The
officers who are investigating this case have found out that the land of the
farmers was given to the mafia by manipulating the land documents. The land
mafia of Ithara and its associates Lekhpal, Kanungo together are running a
parallel administration in Gyanpur Tehsil. The land of Dalit Divyangs has been
illegally occupied. The land of the poor is being snatched away. Land is being
transferred from one place to another through fake documents. These people are
hatching a conspiracy on a large scale to suppress all these cases.
Meanwhile,
a shocking case has come to light that the farmers of the area are being
threatened by the land mafia and its aides that any officer coming to Gyanpur
tehsil will act as their pawn via money earned through bribery and corruption. Due
to such threats to the farmers, there is a lot of fear among the complainants.
The land mafia even claims that whoever comes to Gyanpur tehsil, he buys him
with the money earned through bribery and with the help of the corrupt officer
and the Lekhpal and Kanungo working at his behest, a reign of anarchy is being
run in Gyanpur tehsil.
These
people, in association with the famous mafia gang of Bhadohi district, have
spread terror in the area. Sources say that there is an old and new list of
land mafias in the tehsils. On the basis of them, the FIRs were registered and
the action taken against the land mafias. The report of the same has been
sought by the District Magistrate. But there is a possibility of manipulation
of this report by the investigating officer.
That
is why no concrete action has been taken so far to free the land occupied by
land mafia through fraud. Due to which there is a lot of anger among the
farmers. Farmers say that unless strict action is taken against him and his
associates, the corruption in Gyanpur tehsil will not end.
The
farmers of Gyanpur area demand that the person who has illegally occupied 20
bighas of land should be included in the list of land mafia and a case should
be registered against him and action should be taken against his associates and
patrons on the charge of acquiring property disproportionate to their income.
The local people say that these three people have caused terrible destruction
in the entire area. They are snatching the land of the farmers. They are
behaving hooliganistically with the people. They are spreading fear and terror
in the area in connivance with the mafia gang. Due to the mafia activities of
these people, there is chaos in the entire area. Dozens of complaints were made
to the District Magistrate regarding illegal occupation of the land of a Dalit
Divyang. But the investigating officer is also trying to suppress this matter.
The mafia who were earlier the owners of 10 biswa land. How did they come to
possess 20 bighas of land? Until a campaign is launched to investigate this
point and to free the illegally occupied land from encroachment, clean administration
cannot be established in Gyanpur tehsil. The image of the Yogi government is
being tarnished by the corruption and bribery activities of the land mafia. On
the other hand, the land mafia and its patrons are transferring land from one
place to another by joining gangs. This is causing unrest in the society.
People are fighting among themselves. Due to these people, the rivalry between
farmers has increased and a situation of bloody conflict has arisen. If action
is not taken against their black deeds, then riots, fights and disturbances can
occur on a large scale in the area at any time.
Due
to the administration not taking any action against these accused, the local
public representatives have also started expressing anger over their working
style. The district administration has formed a committee. Now it remains to be
seen what the result will be?
