Solapur, 19 Apr (HS): Renowned neuro-physician from

Solapur, Dr Shirish Walsangkar died by suicide, for the reasons still unknown.

Dr Walsangkar shot himself in his head in his home, sending a shockwave among

the medical fraternity and people of Solapur.

Dr Walsangkar was immediately rushed to his own

hospital, where he breathed his last during treatment. He had dinner with the

family members. He suddenly left and shot himself in the head in his washroom.

His son Ashvin, who is also a doctor, administered primary health services and

shifted him to the hospital. He died around 9.30 pm.

A large number of people from the medical fraternity and

his patients rushed to the hospital on getting information about his death.
