New Delhi, April 16 (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the President of Finland, Alexander Stubb, reviewed ongoing cooperation between the two countries on Tuesday, covering areas including digitalization, sustainability, and mobility. They also exchanged views on regional and global issues of mutual interest, including the situation in Ukraine.

According to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), President Alexander Stubb of Finland spoke with Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the phone. The two leaders reviewed the ongoing cooperation between the two countries, including areas like digitalization, sustainability, and mobility. They reiterated their commitment to strengthening and deepening partnerships in areas such as quantum technology, 5G-6G, AI, and cybersecurity.

The leaders also exchanged views on regional and global issues of mutual interest, including the situation in Ukraine. President Stubb expressed Finland's support for close ties between India and the European Union, as well as the swift conclusion of a mutually beneficial Free Trade Agreement (FTA). Both leaders agreed to stay in touch.

Prime Minister Modi posted on X, stating, Had a meaningful conversation with President Alexander Stubb. Finland is an important partner country in the European Union. We are committed to enhancing our relations. Exchanged our perspectives on regional and global issues, including the situation in Ukraine.
