New Delhi, April 11 (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh on 11th April. His first stop will be Varanasi, where he will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate various development projects valued at over Rs 3,880 crore around 11 AM, followed by addressing a public meeting. Among the significant initiatives in Varanasi, he will focus on enhancing road connectivity by inaugurating and laying the foundation for multiple road projects, including a road bridge linking Varanasi Ring Road to Sarnath and flyovers at strategic city crossings.
Additionally, to bolster electricity infrastructure, he will inaugurate two 400 KV and one 220 KV transmission substations and lay the foundation stone for several projects worth over Rs 1,045 crore. Furthering his commitment to improving police facilities, he will inaugurate a Transit Hostel and barracks while laying foundation stones for new administrative buildings at various police stations.
Emphasizing education, the Prime Minister will inaugurate a Government Polytechnic College, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Government College, rural libraries, and Anganwadi centres. He will also lay the foundation for renovating primary school buildings under the Smart City Mission and constructing a new building for Kasturba Gandhi School.
In his promotion of sports infrastructure, he will lay the foundation stone for a synthetic hockey turf with floodlights at Uday Pratap College and a mini stadium at Shivpur. Subsequently, at around 3:15 PM, he will visit Madhya Pradesh to perform darshan and pooja at Guru Ji Maharaj Temple in Isagarh, followed by a public program at Anandpur Dham at 4:15 PM, where he will address the gathering.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate several significant projects in Varanasi, including the redevelopment of Samne Ghat and Shastri Ghat along the Ganga river, and 130 rural drinking water schemes under the Jal Jeevan Mission, with an investment exceeding Rs 345 crore. Additionally, he will oversee improvements in six municipal wards of Varanasi and the landscaping and installation of sculptures in various locations.
Further initiatives include laying the foundation stone for the MSME Unity Mall aimed at supporting artisans, infrastructure development for the Transport Nagar Scheme in Mohansarai, establishing a 1 MW solar power plant at the WTP Bhelupur, constructing community halls in 40 Gram Panchayats, and beautifying several parks throughout Varanasi.
The Prime Minister will also distribute Ayushman Vay Vandana cards to senior citizens over 70 years old for the first time. He plans to present Geographical Indication (GI) certificates to local products such as tabla, painting, thandai, and tiranga barfi, and transfer over Rs 105 crore as bonuses to Uttar Pradesh milk suppliers affiliated with Banas Dairy.
In Madhya Pradesh, he will visit Anandpur Dham in Isagarh Tehsil, Ashoknagar district, for darshan and pooja at the Guru Ji Maharaj Temple and will tour the temple complex. Anandpur Dham, established for spiritual and philanthropic purposes, spans 315 hectares and features a modern gaushala housing over 500 cows and ongoing agricultural projects under the Shri Anandpur Trust. This trust also operates a charitable hospital in Sukhpur village, along with schools in Sukhpur and Anandpur, and various Satsang Centers throughout India.
