New Delhi, April 10 (HS): Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed the Annual Trade Expo 2025 of the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry via video conferencing, alongside Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. He emphasized the Chamber's critical role in Gujarat's development, tracing its foundation to Kasturbhai Sheth.

As the Chamber approaches its centenary, Shah urged the creation of a strategic roadmap to align with Gujarat's growth, highlighting the importance of MSMEs and advocating for their integration with startups to foster a supportive ecosystem. He proposed establishing a permanent support mechanism for industrialists within the Chamber to maintain relevance and serve as a link between the government, industries, and entrepreneurs.

Shah praised Gujarat's diverse industrial landscape, ensuring entrepreneurs of a business-friendly environment free from political interference, reinforced by efficient systems. He recalled inclusive decision-making practices from both Narendra Modi’s and Bhupendra Patel's leadership. Notable achievements discussed included smart infrastructure, 24-hour electricity in villages, and digital services through the e-Gram project.

Shah acknowledged India's progress over the past 11 years under Modi's leadership, stressing that Gujarat is poised to lead key sectors influencing the global economy. He highlighted projects like the Kutch renewable energy park, Dholera Smart City, the Surat-Chennai Expressway, GIFT City, and the bullet train initiative as significant developments.
