U-R Range Inaugurated Volleyball Tournament in Memory of Martyr PSI Deepak

Sharma at DPL Udhampur under Civic Action Programme 2024-25

In

order to pay tribute to the bravery courage, and supreme sacrifice of PSI

Deepak Sharma, who laid down his life in the service of nation.

District

Police Udhampur inaugurated a three-day Volleyball Tournament at the District

Police Lines Udhampur the event is being organized under the Civic Action

Programme 2024-25 in collaboration with the Volleyball Association Udhampur.

The

tournament was today inaugurated by DIG U-R Range, Rayees Mohammad Bhat - IPS

in presence of SSP Udhampur Amod Nagpure IPS, Addl. SP Udhampur, DySP Hqrs.,

DySP DAR Udhampur, officials, participants, and members of the Volleyball

Association Udhampur.

While

addressing the gathering, DIG U-R Range emphasized the significance of sports

in shaping the lives of youth. He highlighted that sports activities not only

enhance physical and mental well-being but also help in steering the youth away

from social evils such as drug addiction, terrorism, and separatism. He

encouraged young athletes to take inspiration from the discipline and team

spirit exhibited in sports to achieve their life goals.

Volleyball

tournament is being organized from 1st April 2025 to 4th April 2025 where in 08

different volleyball teams will participate from different areas of District

Udhampur.

A

Volleyball match between Udhampur Volleyball Club and Thial Volleyball Club was

played on the occasion of inaugural function, which was won by Udhampur

Volleyball Club.
