Dehradun, March 29 (HS): Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced the creation of 'Devbhoomi Silver Jubilee Park' in the cities of the state to commemorate the completion of 25 years since Uttarakhand's establishment. He made this announcement on Saturday during a program organized at Survey Stadium, Dehradun, to mark the three years of the state government's service, good governance, and development.

The Chief Minister observed the multi-purpose camp set up for resolving public issues during the event. On this occasion, he distributed checks for credit card linkage to self-help groups from the Rural Development Department, as well as Mahalakshmi kits and agricultural tools to beneficiaries. Prior to this, the Chief Minister participated in a roadshow from Hathibarkala to Survey Stadium.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister stated that a network of roads is being laid across the state from cities to remote villages, and work on the Rishikesh-Karnprayag railway line is progressing rapidly to soon fulfill the dream of rail connectivity in the mountains. Additionally, with the launch of helicopter services for nearly 12 towns in the state, including Dehradun, Almora, Uttarkashi, Gauchar, and Pithoragarh, the state's air connectivity has been strengthened.

The Chief Minister mentioned that work on the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway is being expedited. Plans are also being prepared for the construction of a four-lane elevated road over the Rispana and Bindal rivers in Dehradun. Various projects with an investment of ₹1400 crores are underway in the city. Alongside the establishment of smart schools in the city, a state-of-the-art library with a capacity of 650 readers has been constructed at Lansdowne Chowk. Moreover, to promote environmental protection in the city, 30 electric buses are being operated, and charging stations for private electric vehicles are also being constructed at 11 locations.

On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi stated that the decisions taken by the government in the interest of the general public have set a precedent in the country. In the past three years, the government has implemented numerous welfare schemes while committing to reach these schemes to the person standing at the farthest end of the state. To fulfill this commitment, we have run various awareness campaigns and made the application processes for almost all schemes available online. We have also made efforts to ensure that the residents of the state can benefit from welfare schemes while sitting at home.

It is noteworthy that in celebration of the completion of three years of the government, multi-purpose camps are being organized at the district, assembly, and block levels across the entire state, including Dehradun. In these camps, people are provided information about various schemes in one place, and the application and resolution processes are completed on the spot.

On this occasion, Dehradun Mayor Saurabh Thapliyal, Minister of State with Independent Charge Dr. Devendra Bhasin, Kailash Pant, Chairperson of the Mussoorie Municipal Council Meera Saklani, BJP Greater President Siddharth Agarwal, BJP Youth Front National Vice President Neha Joshi, and other public representatives were present.
