Dehradun, March 28 (HS). The representatives' meeting of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) made several important decisions. A report on the expansion of the organization was also presented at the meeting. This information was shared by Dinesh Semwal, the provincial secretary of the RSS. During the press conference held on Thursday at the World Dialogue Center, besides Dinesh Semwal, senior RSS officials like Uttarakhand publicity chief Sanjay Kumar, Baldev Parashar, and Baldev Khanduri were present.

While providing information about central arrangements, Dinesh Semwal mentioned that 1,482 workers were present at the representatives’ meeting held in Bengaluru, Karnataka from March 21 to 23, out of which 1,443 were in attendance. He also stated that the General Secretary of the RSS has urged for a special event to be held on the occasion of the 500th birth anniversary of Rani Abbakka and a statement has been sent regarding this. Due to the centenary year, the organization will reach out to the public through special mediums. The goal of the RSS is to build an organized Hindu society for world peace and harmony.

At this representatives’ meeting, the global community was urged to raise its voice against the injustices faced by Bangladeshi Hindus.

Provincial Secretary Dinesh Semwal provided information about the organizational departments in Uttarakhand, stating that there are 8 organizational departments and 26 organizational districts in Uttarakhand. There are 1,506 branches operating. RSS work is being carried out through 404 meetings and 253 groups. Dinesh Semwal mentioned that there are a total of 128 blocks in Uttarakhand, with 79 towns, including 22 in metropolitan areas, and 170 branches operating. Similarly, Uttarakhand has been divided into 712 organizational circles, of which 522 are branch-based. There are 120 meetings and 63 circles where organizational work is taking place. He stated that a total of 1,506 branches are operational in 942 locations. In 336 meeting locations, there are 404 branches, and in 353 group locations, meetings are being held at 353 sites.

In this way, there are a total of 639 settlements, among which 509 are branch-based settlements, 59 are union-based settlements, and 40 are assembly-based settlements. Work remains in 41 settlements.

Dinesh Semwal mentioned that there are 463 service settlements in Uttarakhand, with work ongoing in 305 of them. Similarly, the One Teacher One School initiative is underway in 4,000 villages. The Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram is operating cultural schools in 333 villages. Under the Vivekananda Health Mission, 11 hospitals are functioning. The Uttarakhand Utthan Parishad and the Divine Disaster Relief Committee are running self-reliance centers along with hostels in various villages. At AIIMS Rishikesh, a guest house named Madhav Vishram Grih is operating with 430 beds for the relatives of patients.

On this occasion, he mentioned that the centenary celebration will take place on October 2, 2025, in blocks and towns through formal dress events. A 21-day door-to-door contact campaign is scheduled between November 2025 and January 2026, along with Hindu conferences in 649 settlements and 712 assemblies in Uttarakhand. Furthermore, from September 20 to October 10, 2026, branches will be established in areas without any branches for seven days.
