Guwahati, March 30 (H.S): Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation through the 120th episode of his popular radio program 'Mann Ki Baat' on Sunday. During his address, he highlighted the positive mindset of a new India, exemplary work practices, social issues, and the rapid development taking place across the country. He also made a special mention of Assam's traditional festival, 'Rongali Bihu.'

According to a press release by the Assam unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), lakhs of party workers listened to the program at 29,565 booths across the state's 39 organizational districts and 433 mandals.

Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma attended the program at Booth No. 147 of the Pakhimuria Jamuguri Mandal in Nagaon district, along with Minister Pijush Hazarika, local MLA Rupak Sharma, Roha MLA Shashikant Das, and Chief Executive Member of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, Dr. Tuliram Ronghang.

State BJP President and Member of Parliament Dilip Saikia participated in the program at Booth No. 258 in the Palashbari Assembly constituency of South Kamrup district, accompanied by local residents and party workers. MLA Ramendra Narayan Kalita and Hemang Thakuria were also present on the occasion.

Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal listened to the program at Booth No. 137 in Dibrugarh district alongside Deputy Mayor Ujjal Phukan, Dibrugarh Development Authority Chairman Asim Hazarika, and Chief Executive Member of the Sonowal Kachari Autonomous Council, Tankeswar Sonowal. Similarly, Union Minister Pabitra Margherita participated in the program at Booth No. 196 in Meleng Balichapori Panchayat of Jorhat district with local workers and residents.

In the elections of the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council, the BJP organized the event at 83 booths in six constituencies. Senior party workers attended as special guests at each booth. Following the program, special booth committee meetings were held to review preparations for the upcoming elections.

During his address, the Prime Minister spoke about topics like the Hindu New Year, Rongali Bihu, Khelo India, Para Athletics, water conservation, and the reuse of old clothes. He shared inspirational messages and encouraged the citizens with valuable insights.
