New Delhi, March 27 (H.S.): FIFA has revealed the prize money for the 2025 Club World Cup, making this tournament the most lucrative club football competition to date.

Main prize money:

Winner team: Chance to win up to $125 million.

Total prize money: A total of $1 billion will be distributed among 32 participating clubs.

Additional support: $250 million has been set aside to support global club football.

Participation prize money: $525 million has been allocated.

Regional prize money distribution:

UEFA clubs: Will receive between $12.81 million to $38.19 million, depending on their ranking and revenue. Teams like Chelsea, Manchester City, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich are contenders for the top prize money.

CONMEBOL (South American) clubs: Approximately $15.21 million.

CONCACAF, CAF, and AFC clubs: $9.55 million.

OFC (Oceania) clubs: $3.58 million.

Tournament format:

A total of 32 teams will participate in the tournament.

The competition will be held in the United States from June 14 to July 13, 2025.

It will feature a group stage and playoff format with seven matches.All earnings from the tournament will be invested in the development of club football.

FIFA's new global football initiative: FIFA has also announced the Solidarity Investment Program to ensure the development of football on a global scale. Notably, FIFA will not retain any revenue from this tournament, and its reserve fund will not be affected, ensuring long-term investment in football across 211 member associations.
