Cultural Evening Program Organized at Delhi Assembly on Hindu New Year

New Delhi, March 27 (H.S.): A cultural evening program is being organized at the Delhi Assembly on Sunday to mark the Hindu New Year. This event symbolizes the commencement of 'Vikram Samvat 2082', which is part of the traditional Hindu lunar calendar era. The program will feature performances by renowned singer and songwriter Kailash Kher and his band Kailasa, with 1,500 distinguished guests invited to participate in the celebration.

Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta stated that this is the first occasion for organizing a cultural program for the new year. He remarked that the Hindu New Year is not merely a change of date, but a symbol of new energy and vitality. Just as farmers welcome new crops into their homes, this festival holds deep economic and social significance. It is a joyful opportunity to celebrate our culture and civilization with enthusiasm, ensuring their revival and promoting new energy in all our lives.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta will attend as the chief guest, alongside Assembly Vice President Mohan Singh Bisht and Minister of Art and Culture Kapil Mishra as distinguished guests. The objective of this program is to showcase India’s rich cultural heritage and reinforce the eternal values embedded in its traditions.
