Dehradun, March 21 (HS): The Dhami government continues its action against illegal madrasas in Uttarakhand. So far, 110 madrasas have been sealed across the state. On Thursday, 16 illegal madrasas were sealed in Udham Singh Nagar district and two in Haridwar.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami emphasizes that any alterations to the state's original form will not be accepted, promising strict action against illegal activities disguised as religious practices. Over the past month, the Uttarakhand government has undertaken swift actions against unapproved madrasas.
Dhami's firm stance is leading to a broad campaign across the state, investigating the operators and educational content of these institutes. Recently, four madrasas in Rudrapur, eight in Kichha, three in Bajpur, one in Jaspur, and two in Haridwar were sealed, adding to the 92 previously sealed in Dehradun and Pauri.
