Jaipur, 7 February (HS): Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, while clarifying on the issue of phone tapping during his government, has urged Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma to put the truth before the House and the general public on the issue of phone tapping leveled against the BJP government by Cabinet Minister Kirori Lal Meena.
The former Chief Minister wrote on X,During our government, I had said on the floor of the House that the telephone of any minister, MP and MLA has not been put on surveillance and neither will it be. But, the allegations of phone tapping leveled against the BJP government by its own Cabinet Minister exposes the truth of the BJP.
He wrote that this matter is of very serious nature because the allegations have been leveled not by any opposition leader for political gain but by the Cabinet Minister of the government. Their truth should come out. The Chief Minister should answer in the House.
