Bhubaneswar, 6 February (H.S.)Last night, thieves broke into the Jagannath temple in Champu village, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Soro police in Balasore district. They stole three silver crowns and a donation box. The burglary was discovered by the temple priest when he arrived to perform his morning rituals.
In a complaint filed with the Soro police, the priest reported that the thieves also vandalised parts of the temple before fleeing with the valuable items.
Upon receiving a tip-off, the police quickly arrived at the scene and have launched a detailed investigation into the incident.
The theft has left the local community in shock, with residents demanding immediate action to apprehend those responsible.
