Chandigarh, 22 February (HS): Pakistan has released 22 Indian fishermen and repatriated through the Attari-Bagha border on Saturday evening.

Arunpal Singh, protocol officer at the border, said that these fishermen had mistakenly entered Pakistan's border while fishing during 2021-22.

All of them were sentenced to two to three years in Pakistan. After the completion of this sentence, the Government of India coordinated with Pakistan and the Government of Pakistan released 22 Indians today, including 18 from Gujarat, 3 from DU and one from Uttar Pradesh. All the citizens were sent to the respective states after verification at the border.
