Chennai, 5 December (H.S.) : Noted orator, Dravidian activist, and former AIADMK leader Nanjil Sampath has officially returned to politics, joining the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) on Friday.

Sampath, who had stepped away from political life in 2017, was formally inducted into the party by its founder-president, actor Vijay, at the TVK headquarters in Panaiyur.

Party sources, according to a Daily Thanthi report, suggest that Sampath is expected to be given a significant role and important responsibility within the newly formed party's organizational structure.
