31 Dec (HS): A special orientation program was held on Wednesday in Lucknow,
the capital of Uttar Pradesh, for candidates preparing for the PCS main
examination at the Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Research and Training
Institute's Bhagidari Bhawan in Gomtinagar. Minister of State for Social
Welfare (Independent Charge) Asim Arun was the chief guest.
Minister
of State Asim Arun, while wishing the candidates a Happy New Year, emphasized
the importance of adopting the right strategy, discipline, and planning in
preparing for the exam. He said that healthy competition boosts confidence and
motivation among candidates.
The
Minister of State stated that five of the best teachers from major cities
across the country will soon be added to online classes, providing expert
guidance to candidates. It was suggested that candidates wear formal attire
once a week to prepare for interviews. Additionally, plans were shared to
develop a sense of social responsibility among candidates by organizing two
hours of weekly volunteer work and sessions on government schemes and business
projects.
Kumar
Prashant, Director of the Social Welfare Department, highlighted the need to
prepare for the interview in parallel with the main examination. Deputy
Director Anand Kumar Singh, Joint Director P.K. Tripathi, Deputy Director J.
Ram, DSP Priyanka Yadav, and District Social Welfare Officer Pawan Kumar Yadav
were present on the occasion. Candidates also expressed their gratitude for the
institute's facilities and program.
