Guwahati, 31 December (HS): The All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) has announced that it is fully prepared for the upcoming elections and will field candidates in 30 assembly constituencies. Party chief Badruddin Ajmal said on Wednesday that the organisation has completed all necessary preparations to take on the electoral battle.
Ajmal asserted that the AIUDF is determined to defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and will fight the elections with full strength. He claimed that the party’s focus is on protecting the interests of the people and raising issues affecting minorities and marginalised sections.
Taking a dig at the opposition, Ajmal alleged that there is an understanding between the Congress and the BJP, accusing both parties of maintaining a tacit alliance for political convenience.
On the issue of eviction drives, the AIUDF chief squarely blamed Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, holding him responsible for the ongoing eviction actions in the state. Ajmal said the party would continue to oppose such measures and raise its voice against what he termed as unjust policies.--------
