Jamshedpur (Jharkhand), 29 December (H.S.): President Droupadi Murmu on Monday said that promoting research, innovation and a strong startup culture is crucial for achieving the goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047.

Addressing the 15th convocation of the National Institute of Technology here, the President said India has set a clear target of becoming a developed nation by 2047, marking 100 years of Independence.

She underlined that the role of the youth will be central in realising this vision, as they will be the driving force behind technological advancement, innovation and inclusive growth.

Murmu said the government of India is implementing several schemes to promote research, innovation and startup culture, and encouraged students to make effective use of these opportunities to contribute to nation-building.
