New Delhi, 27 December (H.S.): India’s largest airline, IndiGo, has issued a travel advisory after a temporary technical glitch disrupted the baggage belt system at Mumbai’s Terminal 2, alerting passengers to possible delays during check-in and baggage collection.
In an advisory posted on Saturday on its official social media handle ‘X’, IndiGo informed travelers that due to the temporary malfunction in the baggage belt system, passengers might experience longer waiting times during the check-in and baggage claim processes at Mumbai Airport.
The airline stated that its ground operations team is actively coordinating with airport authorities to restore normal functioning as quickly as possible and minimize passenger inconvenience.
Apologizing for the disruption, IndiGo said, “We regret the inconvenience caused and understand that this may impact your travel plans. Our teams are on-site, working closely with airport partners to expedite the resolution and assist passengers throughout the process.”
The airline also thanked passengers for their patience, assuring them of continued support and regular updates.
According to airport sources, baggage handling systems were partially affected for a brief duration, leading to delays in processing checked luggage for arriving and departing flights. However, services are gradually returning to normal as repair work continues.
