Guwahati, 26 December (HS): Bharatiya Janata Party’s newly elected Working President Nitin Navin arrived in Guwahati on Friday, marking his first visit to Assam after assuming the responsibility.

Nitin Navin received a rousing welcome at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, where around 10,000 party workers gathered to greet him. The supporters escorted the Working President from the airport amid slogans and enthusiastic celebrations, reflecting strong organisational backing.

Senior BJP leaders and office-bearers were present during the reception. Party sources said the visit is significant as it comes soon after Nitin Navin took charge as the Working President and he is scheduled to hold a series of organisational interactions during his Assam tour.----------
