Lucknow,
25 Dec (HS): Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated on Thursday that Prime
Minister Narendra Modi is realising the vision of India envisioned by BJP
ideologues Syama Prasad Mookerjee, Deendayal Upadhyaya, and Atal Bihari
Vajpayee. Addressing a gathering at the Rashtra Prerna Sthal's inaugural event
on Vajpayee's birth anniversary, Singh, a sitting Lok Sabha MP from Lucknow,
welcomed the Prime Minister as well as Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel
and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Singh claimed that Modi has considerably
improved India's international standing, and that the world now pays close
attention when India talks. He described Modi as a leader who has elevated
India's worldwide standing and has received the highest civilian accolades from
29 nations, distinguishing him as a one-of-a-kind prime minister on the global
arena.
He
stated that Prime Minister Modi was unveiling sculptures of Mookerjee,
Upadhyaya, and Vajpayee at the spot, and that the occasion was immensely
significant for the country. Singh also remembered Pt Madan Mohan Malaviya on
his birth anniversary and paid respect to his legacy on stage. Our prime leader
is realizing the vision of India that Mookerjee, Upadhyaya, and Vajpayee had,
according to the defense minister. Referring to the recent decade, Singh stated
that the country has achieved steady development under Modi's leadership, led
by the philosophy of remembering great national personalities, taking pride in
India's legacy, and safeguarding their honor and preservation. Inspired by this
method, monuments of three towering figures who molded independent India and
gave the country dignity, self-respect, and a new identity have been placed at
the inspiration location, he explained.
Singh
commended Adityanath for building what he called as a magnificent national
inspiration destination in Lucknow. Speaking about Mookerjee, Singh stated that
he worked tirelessly to preserve India's unity and integrity, even sacrificing
his life in the process, notably in the context of Kashmir, which had
previously enjoyed special status under Article 370. He stated PM Modi
fulfilled Mookerjee's vow in independent India by repealing Article 370. Singh
stated that Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya established the philosophical notions of
Integral Humanism and Antyodaya, and that Modi has constantly worked to build a
strong, self-respecting, and self-sufficient India on these foundations. He
stated that Upadhyaya thought that human pleasure could not be measured solely
by worldly prosperity and instead emphasized dignity, self-respect,
intellectual progress, and spiritual well-being.
He
said the NDA government's dedication to the care of the poor under Modi's leadership
is inspired by Upadhyaya, whose monument was unveiled at the location. On
Vajpayee, Singh stated that the former prime minister needs no introduction,
and that the people of the Lucknow parliamentary seat have a strong link with
him. He claimed Vajpayee's warm and funny personality was well recognized. Singh
stated that Vajpayee's contribution to Indian politics, society, and culture
was unsurpassed, and that under Modi's leadership, India is fast advancing
along the same path toward new heights of prosperity. He stated that inflation
has fallen below 1% for the first time in independent India's history, and that
the country has grown at a rate of more than 8% under Modi.
He
said Modi had elevated India's international standing and changed worldwide
opinions of the country. Previously, India's voice on international forums was
not given enough weight, but now, under Modi's leadership, the world pays
attention to what India has to say, he continued. Singh highlighted Modi's
measures for villages, the poor, and farmers, claiming that he has taken
significant strides towards rural development. He claimed that irregularities
were common under the previous MGNREGA scheme, and that the government has
instead introduced a new legislation titled Viksit Bharat-G Ram G,
under which rural workers would now be employed for 125 days rather than 100,
as well as the construction of permanent infrastructure in villages.
Singh
asked the thousands of attendees at the gathering to raise their hands and
appreciate the improvements brought about by Modi's leadership. He also paid
respect to famous sculptor Ram Sutar, who died recently at the age of 100, and
thanked other artists who contributed to the creation of the sculptures
displayed at the Rashtra Prerna Sthal.
