Sribhumi, 23 December (HS): Acting on credible intelligence, Sribhumi Police in coordination with the Border Security Force (BSF) arrested a drug peddler and seized 50,000 Yaba tablets valued at approximately ₹2 crore, Police Officials informed on Tuesday.

The joint operation was carried out as part of intensified anti-narcotics measures in the border district. The accused was taken into custody and further investigation is underway to trace forward and backward linkages of the drug network.

Assam Police reiterated its commitment to dismantling drug trafficking networks with a policy of zero tolerance and zero compromise against narcotics-related crimes.--------
