People will deliver the right verdict next April: BJP leader Nainar Nagendran criticizes DMK

Chennai, 22 December (H.S.) : Tamil Nadu BJP State Secretary Nainar Nagendran addressed the media in Tiruchirappalli today, launching a series of criticisms against the ruling DMK government. He asserted that in the assembly elections scheduled for April next year, the electorate would deliver an appropriate verdict against the current administration.

Nagendran took a jibe at Chief Minister M.K. Stalin for inaugurating hospitals in Tirunelveli where sixty percent of the funding was provided by the Central Government. He argued that it would have been more appropriate to invite Union Ministers to these ceremonies, given the significant central contribution.

The BJP leader also raised concerns regarding the 100 day employment scheme, alleging that while the DMK promised to extend it to 150 days, several irregularities have surfaced instead.

He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for court orders that secured 125 days of employment and criticized the DMK for focusing on name changes rather than scheme implementation.

Nagendran further alleged that the state government is using flawed policies in the name of secularism and claimed that schools were granted holidays just to facilitate the Chief Minister’s political programmes.

Regarding the political landscape, Nagendran remarked that actor turned politician Vijay’s impact would be determined by the voters. He suggested that if Vijay's objective is to remove the DMK from power, he should carefully consider how a multi cornered contest might affect the outcome.

He stated that the BJP remains the largest party globally and does not actively solicit alliances, but indicated that the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam could join their coalition if they desired.

He concluded by highlighting alleged administrative failures, including the inability to appoint a Director General of Police and the high number of cases pending against seventeen state ministers.
