Bhubaneswar, 21 December (H.S.) Shefali Suna, mother of Ollywood singer Humane Sagar, on Sunday lodged a formal First Information Report (FIR) at the Markat Nagar police station, seeking a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding her son’s suspicious death.
In her complaint, Shefali Suna alleged that Humane Sagar was subjected to mental harassment, undue pressure and mistreatment prior to his death. She urged the authorities to examine all possible angles, including negligence, abuse, coercion, poisoning and the alleged administration of intoxicating substances.
Raising serious concerns over the manner of death, she also sought a probe into possible conspiracies, financial irregularities and the suspected destruction of digital evidence that may have obscured crucial facts related to the case. According to the complaint, the exact cause of Humane Sagar’s death remains unclear, warranting a detailed forensic examination and post-mortem analysis.
The FIR further calls for an investigation into the singer’s professional and financial dealings, alleging that income earned by Humane Sagar may have been misappropriated by those managing his career. It also claimed that individuals associated with his professional management ignored signs of his deteriorating physical and mental condition.
Earlier, several local organisations had submitted complaints against the singer’s managers, demanding a thorough inquiry into the events leading up to his death. In a related development, filmmaker Jitu Raut had on November 26 lodged a complaint at the Madhupatna Police Station in Cuttack, seeking a high-level investigation into Humane Sagar’s financial affairs and professional management.
Police sources said the complaint has been received and further investigation is underway.
