New Delhi/Muscat,Oman, 17 December (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi touched down at Muscat International Airport on Wednesday, culminating the final leg of his momentous three-nation tour encompassing Jordan and Ethiopia.

His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Oman's Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, extended a gracious welcome to the Indian leader and his distinguished delegation amid an elaborate ceremonial reception in the VIP Hall.

A resplendent Guard of Honour underscored the profound mutual esteem characterising India-Oman ties, which commemorate their 70th diplomatic anniversary this year.

This pivotal state visit, at the personal invitation of Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, heralds high-level deliberations poised to fortify the strategic partnership across trade, energy, defence, and beyond.

Prime Minister Modi is slated to engage the vibrant Indian diaspora, reinforcing people-to-people bonds in the Gulf bastion.
